Natural Lighting is Key. Natural light (no filters) always makes the best clear photos. Try taking your pet’s photo outdoors in the morning or early evening, or in a well lit room.

Eye Level and Straight On. Getting down to the same level as your pet will make it easier to capture their full face (head, neck and ears) up close while they’re looking straight at the camera.

Your pet’s photo should look exactly how you want your pet to look in the portrait. Bows, collars, hats, leashes, and other clothing will be illustrated in your final portrait.
